Earlier this year we developed an Outlook 2007 add in that consisted in:
- Custom form regions (with custom icons)
- Custom menu and menu items on Outlook menu bar
- Custom context menus
- Periodically retrieving items from a back-end web service and creating mail items inside Outlook Inbox (a.k.a messing with Outlook storage system)
- Some Windows forms that show in response to menu items

I have the Add in installed in my computer for demo purposes.
When I uninstalled office 2007 and installed Office 2010 CTP Outlook loaded the Add in as usual and it worked just fine! It has all the features working as expected. The only difference is that, since Outlook 2010 doesn't have a menu bar (it has the Ribbon now) the custom menu is added inside de Add-Ins tab:
